Reviews for Uncle tonys in Toronto, Ontario
We ordered the pesto chicken pasta and chicken parmigiana. This is the best tasting Italian food in a while. Everything was seasoned great and portions are good. Way better than chain restaurants. 👍🏽👍🏽 glad stubbled appon here.
At first glance this place looks like a cute little authentic Italian restaurant, but it didn't meet my expectations. The menu was quite extensive but tbh nothing really stood out to me as something I had to get; the items were typical. I ended up getting the mushroom pizza but ... it wasn't good. It was extremely bland, barely, if any, of the truffle honey on it, and the mushrooms were just boring button mushrooms. I had to eat it with chili oil just to have any flavour, and I don't like spicy food. At least the pizza was big so I had leftovers for lunch the next day. My family said they enjoyed their food so maybe if you go here, just don't get the mushroom pizza. However I noticed all their portions were really small (and were pricy for what you get) and I don't think anyone was full. We even shared a calamari (which was quite good actually) in the beginning too. This restaurant's saving grace is the tiramisu. I saw another review saying it was really good, so we asked to see the dessert menu. The waitress just said "we don't have a dessert menu but I can tell you what we have" which I found a bit strange, especially as then we don't even know the prices, but I already knew I was getting the tiramisu anyway. It was so good. The slice was, again, too small, but so delicious. They should just open a tiramisu shop. Read more
We had a visit where we could not eat. we were eagerly waiting for our order, but the owner came and said that there is a five dollar surcharge if we order only one item. only one of us was hungry and the person did not want to eat much ... so we ordered one pizza. The owner mentioned that he would put a surcharge if we do not order the second item. He was little rude, so we decided to get up and go to a nearby place called pico. Pico was much cheaper much faster and had a great options and taste. The amazing pizza you see is from PICO Read more
Cozy place, perfect for date nights. Had their pizza and risotto, and both were nice. The owner came to check on us and was very personable.
Went there for my birthday while in calgary and it was a great experience. We got a table next to the window (they knew it was my birthday) and the view was great. Our waitress was very friendly and the food was great. The whole restaurant was packed and ... had a vibrant atmosphere. Read more
