Rossini Restaurant - Toronto, Ontario

First time guests on a Saturday night. The restaurant is on the second floor up stairs (for those in need of accessibility). Its clean grey with white coffered ceilings and white lights. No background music...it seems bland. Our service was excellent. We had wanted mussels to start but they were out ... of stock. So we had soup...but it was so salty! My wife commented that the way the potatoes and other vegetable bits were cut...it all could have come from a can. My wife had sole which was well presented but the garnish was dry. I had veal cannelloni with a tomato sauce. The veal was a rough cut and had few spices. It was presented wuthout any garnish. The red wine we had should not be served in a restaurant. The creme caramel was good but there did not seem to be another lactose free dessert for my wife. She ordered coffee. Read more

We were pleasantly surprised at the high quality of the food. The tastes were authentic and clearly freshly prepared, not thawed out. The only disappointment was the limited dessert items. No lactose free options. The parking may be an issue if you arrive after 8pm. Not unique to Rossini.

Where there today for a private event and it was perfect, Servers were always with a friendly attitude , warm Welcoming and great and very knowledgeable of the menu items. The presentation was superb,The food was fantastic, fresh, full of flavor and was quick to the table too. We were ... so impressed that we made reservations to go back soon. Not an intimate atmosphere as we expected for a fine dining title. The food was horrible!! The bread wasn’t fresh, very hard. Soup was really bad, tasted and looked like canned soup. They over cooked my tenderloin. I wanted it medium rare but instead they ... gave me a well done steak! And I’m sure they bought their dessert from the supermarket. However, service was good, we were the only table there that night. Honestly this is not a restaurant we will make a second visit to, nor recommend to family and friends. I came here for dinner on Sunday night. Ordered Bruschetta to start and then Risotto ai Funghi and my boyfriend ate veal parmesan. The food was ok, nothing outstanding.
