Was the best spot for Pastizzi’s in Toronto for most of my life but was extremely disappointed by the quality I was served on Monday. I ordered a dozen pastizzi cooked ($16) & received a box of stale, hard pastizzis with no flakiness that looked as though they had been ... sitting there since the day prior. Less than no effort went into them and it shows. Sincerely regret not looking in the box prior to leaving the store. Read more
Joe would not be pleased with the pastizzi'z going out the front door. They absolutely were the best for many many years. That ended when Joe left and his son-in-law took over. I make long trips to twice a year. Each time product is worse and ... attitude is worse. That was my last visit. Re attitude, bought a dozen and was handed a box, asked for a bag as I was walking. A bag was pulled and placed on the counter with no words and owner walked away for me to put in bag... and then the disappointment of the quality. WOW....I am saddened for Joe who worked so hard. Small little place on a dingy plaza. Stopped when we were in the area. They seem to be a family run bakery. The person at the counter was very nice. We tried the cheese Pastizzis and they were absolutely delicious. They have a few items on the menu and some ... great breakfast specials. Cute place, can be a decluttered/ refreshed a bit. Read more
They actually give you REAL MAPLE SYRUP. Cozy small place, went there for breakfast with my dad, mom and sisters. Breakfast was at a very good price. We were given small salty pastries to taste which I fell in love with (especially the cheese one) and ended up buying 3 ... dozens. Highly recommend stopping by this place, if the food isn't what makes you come back, the welcoming love of the owners will. Read more
