Came here for Winterlicious lunch and the food was great. The highlight was my appetizer which was grilled calamari but everything else tasted great. My wife had spaghetti with meat sauce which was okay. I would probably come back here again.

First visit here. I'm trying to figure out why this place is rated so low. My wife and I had a very nice romantic dinner. Pasta was very fresh, with fresh vegetables. Soup and salad were equally delicious and fresh. Staff was friendly and helpful. This is not a place ... you come to for fast eating. This is dining. I went there last Friday with my sisters to enjoy a nice meal and it was very disappointing. From the moment we sat down, the servers were dismissive and ignoring us. I ordered a glass of wine (it was very stale), a prosecco and the Summerlicious meal which came in ... at $90. They rarely came to check how we were doing, and looked down at us when we asked any question. My sister had to flag the server down because her fish was raw and had to send it back. He brought the same fish (all broken up!) back 5 minutes later on a new plate. Our constant attempts at getting water or any kind of service only seemed to serve as entertainment for the owner sitting across the patio watching this. Very disappointing experience, I think they should be removed from the Summerlicious/Winterlicious roster. I felt robbed after leaving. I spent $60 and left hungry. The service was so terrible, borderline rude. The food was disgusting, so much garlic it was burning my throat which I couldn't even send back because they never bothered to ask how anything was and ignored our table most ... of the night (despite it not being busy). DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. I sincerely hope this place goes out of business. They are thieves. I can't believe they are in business, especially in such a nice area. Must be a money laundering scheme. Save your money/time, even East Side Mario's would be better. Would give 0 stars if possible. Read more

Worst dining experience in Toronto! My mother treated me here for my birthday (my choice) and it was such a horrible experience that I actually felt compelled to apologize and reimburse her for it. I've been to a lot of Yorkville restaurants and honestly cant understand why this place is still ... running. First, the food was not inventive and was just plain bad. I ordered the "Butterfly Grilled Tiger Prawns with Garlic Oil" which came overcooked, chewy and flavorless. My mom ordered the Gnocci which was just as bland. I can name several restaurants that offer the same meals much more impressively and at less or the same cost. The server was so dull (which was at least consistent with everything else) and bordered on rude. It was certainly the worst service I've experienced outside a fast-food restaurant! The ONLY semi-good thing about this place was it's location, but with 5 other restaurants a stones-throw away, I would certainly never find the need to return here. Read more
