Great place for breakfast. Quick, friendly, warm, and welcoming, service. Tasty French toast the first time. Salmon Eggs Benedict, the second visit was delicious to the last bite. Google Maps led us there from our hotel up the street. Thank you, Google Maps! What did we do before you!?!
It was a bit of a wait, we came here for brunch. The portions were ok. I loved the house potatoes tho. Nothing too spectacular but it was a nice experience considering brunch places around union station .
Great atmosphere but average food. The place is packed! Good brunch vibes and the decor was well thought of. I tried the basics, Pancakes and French toast and to my surprise I just couldn’t come to like it. Strangely, the pancakes were anything but fluffy, and they were dry, even after ... adding a maple syrup. The berry compote was a bit too much for me, almost paste like, further adding to the overall dryness of the dish. The French toast was a better option but the whipped ricotta’s powder like taste was ruining it for me. Overall, I might have to give this place another chance for a final review. Read more
Went to brunch/late lunch with my sister. I loved that they have vegan and normal menu dishes and they are basically the same just 1 vegan & the other not. I got the vegan Greek omelet and my sister got a salad with chicken. The omelet was great, loved the olives ... and veggies inside. The potatoes were delicious and the rye bread was good as well. My sister enjoyed her dish. Friendly staff who offered us 2 different flavors of hot sauces. Cute seating and atmosphere, the booths are nice and cozy. Will have to come back and try something else. The restaurant was understaffed. Which meant service was slow. But the servers were doing their best and were super nice. I ordered the healthy heart breakfast. Which was smoked salmon, eggs, toast, and a salad. The food was ok. I also ordered a mango smoothie. It clearly came from a bottle ... and wasn’t good at all. I think when people order a smoothie in TO a fresh fruit smoothie is implied. But it didn’t say it was from a bottle on the menu. The place has a “I stopped to grab some breakfast on my way to the cottage” kind of restaurant vibe. But in that situation you’re in the middle of nowhere and going to a cottage. Ha. None of the food was very elevated, but again, it wasn’t bad either. $46 with tax and tip so not cheap. Read more
