Maybe I wasn't lucky this time but all the dishes we have ordered were below average. The grilled sardines were okay mostly because of the dressing; spagetti carbonara was overcooked, sauce wasn't exactly what I've expected, too oily/was lacking flavour , tre colore ravioli (I believe that's the name ... on the menu) were on the plain side, but mushroom sauce was good. Food didn't sit well with me and I felt it's a bit overpriced for the quality of the meal we had ($65 after tax and tips). My wife and I have eaten at Doppio Zero on numerous occasions over the past 2 years - just the two of us, with other couples and with our children. Food has always been excellent and service friendly and attentive. Great North Toronto/Forest Hill Italian restaurant.

Absolutely great food. I had the Gemelli Bolognese and my wife had one of the specials of the day and they were both amazing. However, service had a few hiccups. Our chairs and table were dirty and the wine glasses we were served were also dirty. They apologized and promptly ... fixed everything but that's why I'm giving 4 instead of 5 stars. I went to this resturant last night, which is now under new ownership and I must say I truly enjoyed my food. I went with my family who totalled 8 and we all order different types of pizza's. They were traditional thin wood oven cooked pizza's and all of ... my family members loved them. The youngest being 4 and the oldest being 40'sishh. The food was fresh, the staff was very friendly, they treated my family like family and the cost of bill was $140.00 which is my opinon is reasonable for the quality of food we received. I would highly recommend this restaurant to all my friends and my family. I am giving this restaurant a 4.5 stars only because I want to see if they can amaze my taste buds even more when I return very soon. Read more
