Reviews for Bread & Bowl in Toronto, Ontario
Delicious gourmet food! I usually order from Bread and Bowl for corporate events at work and Nilgun and her team have provided top-notch service every time. Their sandwiches, breakfast items and boxed lunch are amazing, not to mention the coffee.
The basic breakfast special was good, the home potatoes very nicely spiced, the jam that came with the toast tasty. Everything - eggs easy over, bacon, rye bread, and home fries - was cooked right. It's like a greasy spoon that feels a little big and clinical but offers the ... vast menu and great service. Espresso coffees are a nice addition. My only concern is the three-egg breakfast platter, a practice becoming common that I find totally unnecessary, adding to price and offering way too much food. Read more
Decent breakfast and lunch cafe that serves up sandwiches, pizzas, salads, soups and beverages, located behind the major hospitals on Murray Street. Had the Avocado and Cream Cheese breakfast sandwich on Turkish bagel. The bread was toasted, which made it light and airy. Paired with avocado and cream cheese, it tasted ... great and filled my stomach. Cappucino was strong as it used Turkish coffee as base. Decor was up to date, place was clean. Staff was efficient. Currently staying at the hospital and was craving pizza. I ordered a gluten free pizza and was extremely disappointed. First time I’ve ever seen a pizza made with a tortilla wrap. If I wanted a wrap, I would have ordered a wrap. You shouldn’t offer “gluten free pizza” on your ... menu if it’s not really pizza. Read more
