BASSO Pizzeria - Toronto, Ontario

Unfortunately there was no server on staff when we came, but the chef was very accommodating. The pizza rivals the best I've ever had. I don't like pizza but this I loved. Friendly and laid back atmosphere.

My wife and I recently stopped in at Basso and had a great experience. The restaurant is modern yet welcoming, with high ceilings and an open kitchen above the dining area. The wood pizza stove creates a natural kind of incense which wafts through the restaurant pleasantly. The staff are ... friendly and attentive, and the menu offers interesting takes on classic recipes (with a significant amount of vegetarian friendly options). Stuffed!!! So good! Was here for a family get together and even though some of the family was late staff and kitchen were very patient with our tardiness. Salad, pizza and seafood were amazing. We all felt at home and I was even able to go behind ... the counter and check out the wood burning pizza oven. Staff was so nice. Them tended to our every need. Great food and even better environment! I have been a couple times now. First was a date night with the girlfriend very nice dining area had the beef carpaccio absolutely amazing! Second time was with friends and the bar atmosphere defiantly suited our needs. Food is absolutely delicious! Staff are very friendly and helpful! Amazing atmosphere - nice dine area, as well as great bar area (best of both worlds). Hosted a terrific surprise birthday party! Amazing experience, definitely recommend it 100%!!
