Ji is the sister restaurant to Pukka, which is just a few minutes walk away from each other. The only difference is the Ji is more of a pub that serves indian-inspired fare, than an actual indian restaurant. Don't let that get in the way of deterring you from a ... visit though, because the food at Ji is delicious. Notable dishes for me were the butter chicken mac-and-cheese, which was very comfortable and very yummy. The fish curry (though not everyone's taste) also stood out for me - the fish done just right and was not dry, and the curry it was served in was perfect with the lemon scented rice. I do feel that Ji could benefit from lowering their prices a dollar or two off their dishes and expand their drinks/beer selection. Having that said, I would not hesitate to eat at Ji again. Casual spot for good, modernized Indian food and drinks. Definitely get the naanchos - incredible! The lamb kebab sandwich was also a favourite - would def go back for those two items. Excellent service as well. Wouldn't recommend the "semolina puffs;" they were kind of dry.

I came here with my partner for Sunmerlicious. While their menu didn't have anything special, everything we got was really yummy. From the chili tofu to fish curry, Ji has some really comforting Indian food. Will definitely come back again.

The food here is good but lacks that wow factor. They don't like being called fusion but they are typical Indian flavours in interesting/unique serving methods. The curry is excellent.

Ji was another restaurant I found following a bunch of local restaurants. It's close to transit as a street car passes right by, or you can walk a little bit from St. Clair W to get to you destination. All the employees were extremely friendly, the overall atmosphere of the ... restaurant definitely has a higher class gastro vibe and the playlist is wonderful. The waitresses were knowledgable about the dishes and were extremely helpful with any questions I had. My boyfriend and I ordered the Naanchos to start, Macaroni Makhani as my main, and the Spicy Grilled Beef Burgers as his main. All of these dishes were more than we had hopes for.
