I stumbled across this place without any prior knowledge of it. The menu was well diversified, and had a large variety of selection. Vegetarian and non vegetarian options. I managed to pick up a roti here. Though it's pricier than other roti places , they don't bring as much ... food as other places. Maybe it was an off day ? They have day old roti for half price. That's a steal ! The roti was nice and firm . Full of flavour! I'm keeping this at 4 stars for now. Will update based on more visits . Read more
This is a small hidden gem of Toronto. Hands down the best butter chicken roti I have ever tried, and the service is fast and efficient. The staff are friendly, the portions are large, and I am never disappointed. Don't be fooled by the hole in the wall appearance!
I was craving Indian food and I yelped this place and it has great reviews so I decided to try it out. Located on Queen Street west just east of Bathurst, Gandhi Cuisine is a great place to eat roti. I ordered the chicken tikka masala roti and with a can ... of pop cost around $15. Nice thing about this place is that you can set your spice level which is mild, medium and hot. Of course, I cannot handle spicy so I ordered the mild spice level. It took a while for them to make it. Means that it is made fresh. There is limited sitting in the restaurant as there are only 12 chairs and 4 tables. My chicken tikka masala came out piping hot and it tasted great. I am a huge fan of roti and it came out like a pizza pocket style. There was a lot of chicken in my roti which was surprising since I thought they would stuff it more with potato. Mild was just perfect for a non-spicy eater. It is pretty hot in the restaurant as there was no air condition when I went on a hot summer day. Overall, its a great Indian place if you are craving roti. Read more
Pretty good butter chicken roti... made fresh I see why this is their specialty. I also had the chicken vandaloo on rice ...I'd skip it and get the roti instead. Get the food for take out as no seating available. Pretty busy spot
