Indian place with some improvement! FOOD: We came here for lunch with a friend and ordered a variety of food. I got myself some rice with veggies and some chicken with mint. Though the flavours were there, they were not pronounced enough. In fact, the rice was under salted and the chicken ... was a bit bland. The Ambience was at it's very best & the experience of being present at a fine dining was as expected however given the name & reputation that it commands.. the quantity of the food was under par accordingly. Really good food, great service, and beautiful restaurant- but it was pretty expensive for what it is … Probably not the place if you are just craving chicken biryani, but definitely a great place if you are craving chicken biryani + want a nice dinning experience! My friend ordered the butter chicken ... and she also really enjoyed her meal but did agree it was pricer than what we are usually used to paying for these dishes elsewhere. Had lunch with my Indian friend at this restaurant, and we both loved it. Whilst we did have a reservation, It was quiet enough that we could simply have worked in. It is right next to st. Lawrence market, you can miss it and it has decent parking available. The ... food was good, and I think the portion was adequate. I would say it is one of the few authentic Indian cuisine I have found in the city and I will certainly go back there. Okay for dates, good for family and simple, friendly meet-ups. Read more
