My family and I went to Bhoj for my husband’s birthday. Loved the food, ambience and especially the service. I would like to specifically mention about Deepa (Chef’s wife) who hosted us…she is such a nice person, so well mannered and very patiently handled our needs. Thanks for your amazing ... service. This was a delightful experience. I enjoyed the atmosphere and the food was terrific. I ordered the beef vindaloo with white rice and asked for medium spicy because one never knows if they're cooking for non-South Asians or for us. The voice level was okay, but I would have preferred it ... spicier. Perhaps the next time I'll for for extra spicy :-) The taste was excellent. They also gave me a free garlic naan. What I liked about it was that it was relatively thin and even in its thinness. It really was a pleasure to eat. All in all, it is a place I would recommend because I know I will go back and try other items from their menu. They aim to please, partially because they just moved from their old location (on Davenport St). I hope this new location is kinder to them than it has been to some of their predecessors. Its creamy embrace was spoken of with fervor among my vegetarian comrades, and for good reason. Craving the comfort of nostalgia, we indulged in 'Aloo Paratha', unleashing a flood of memories with each bite. These parcels of potato-filled joy were comparable to the cherished homemade versions crafted by friends, affirming the restaurant's proud, family-run ethos. Our culinary journey was far from over. We found ourselves drawn back to Bhoj, enticed by the siren call of their Tandoori temptations and vegetarian virtuosities. The 'Jeera Aloo' and 'Kofta Malai' were revelations—where the latter's tender paneer cheese, cradling a heart of cashews and mawa, bathed in a sumptuous creamy korma sauce, could easily stand toe-to-toe with any meat-packed dish. We ordered the butter chicken, rogan josh, cheese naan, and regular naan for takeout by calling the restaurant directly. The food was absolutely delicious and the chef and his wife were incredibly kind! Best Indian food in Toronto! I would definitely recommend!

As someone who enjoys Indian cuisine, this restaurant did a great job on their food they offered. Oddly enough, the smell inside upon entering really enticed and made the experience so much more enjoyable. The butter chicken here erodes a strong rich taste of different flavours while the Paneer is ... delicious as a standalone or as a complement. The pricing here was fair although the only criticism would be the portions are a bit smaller than expected (fair point that competitor restaurants are much pricier though). I would definitely return and it has a cozy, heartfelt vibe for either sitting with one person or a group of people. Read more
