My friend and I had a fantastic time at Annalakshmi Toronto last Friday night. Despite the restaurant being quite busy, we were seated promptly. The atmosphere was lively and welcoming. We decided to try a variety of dishes to get a taste of everything. The dosa was perfectly crispy, the meduvada ... had a lot whole peppers in it & the chilli idli was spicy and tasty. Throughout our meal, the service was attentive and friendly. Despite the restaurant being full, our food arrived promptly, and we felt well taken care of. One of the best parts of dining at Annalakshmi Toronto is the affordability. The prices are very reasonable for the quality and portion sizes you receive. Overall, our experience at Annalakshmi Toronto was exceptional. From the delicious food to the attentive service and vibrant atmosphere, everything exceeded our expectations. Nice south Indian vegetarian faire. Not associated with annalakshmi chain in India. The decor inside is very nice. But they get quite busy and you need to wait if u ask something additional later. The food quality was ok. Sambar and white chutney was good. The tomato chutney was spicy ... and mint chutney watery. Having tasted good south Indian food in India and bay area, this was below par...but good by Toronto standards. Keep your expectations low but highly recommend this if you are in the area. Amazing food , great authentic South Indian food . The name @annalakshmi does live up to their name . I tried the specialty butter garlic samosa and it was yummy , the size of the dosa was satisfying as well😊 the best place for authentic dosa (indining) . This is great South Indian restaurant near downtown. They offer a wide variety of dishes, and the atmosphere feels cozy with its traditional touch. The service is good too. We tried their mini tiffin, which was just the right portion, and the onion paneer utthappam was delicious. The chai was ... tasty as well. However, the biryani was just okay. Authentic South Indian food.Paper masala dosa, onion Rawa dosa were both made well. Sambhar could do more with quantity. 3 chutneys were tasty though a little spicy. Spice level is a little above medium. Was crowded on Sunday, wait time was 20 minutes. Service ok as too many tables in a ... small space. Filter coffee was good too. Our server was a sweet girl( Anupama ? I think)Sweet , efficient girl. Overall had a great time. Will revisit for sure.As the food was spicy we ordered a fresh lime soda which was disappointing.I was expecting a fresh lime juice in soda not a sugary pop with a dash of bottled lemon concentrate.
