What a wonderful surprise! Not being familiar with this area, I really wasn’t sure what to expect. I was looking for a place to eat before heading over to the Comedy Bar which was less than a minute away. The atmosphere was quiet (likely due to us getting there when ... they opened), familiar and inviting in a way that made you feel like you were visiting family or an old friend. The service was friendly and welcoming. But honestly, it was the incredibly delicious dinner that ranked this restaurant at the top of my list. Coming from a family where nothing beats Nonna’s cooking, this meal was like…Nonna’s cooking! The price, for what was delivered, was amazing. The serving sizes were on point. Absolutely lovely, cozy, family-style restaurant. We let our server know that we were a bit pressed for time before the show we were attending and they made sure that we got our order with plenty of time to enjoy it. Best restaurant around for blocks. My team and I were headed to the comedy club a block away and searched for a nice restaurant within walking distance. This is about it, Food was good, service was OK, experience "OK"...considering there's only small grab-n-go food spots around for blocks.... Fantastic value for money. Great, non-pretentious spot on Danforth and Main. I forgot to take a photo of the butter tart, but it’s really good, highly recommend! Happy to support local and have this gem close by.
