Tzatziki - Toronto, Ontario

I recently rediscovered this place after many many years. In the past, I had only been in for coffee but tonight I had the spinach pie and Greek salad and a couple of beers on the very relaxing and comfortable patio. The food was spectacular…the homemade spinach and cheese pie ... was so delicious with a really nice crust and a very large Greek salad that was done to perfection. I especially liked the dressing & generous with the olives. Frank, the man who served me Was Friendly, professional and very welcoming and served me as if I was Family. The whole place has a wonderful vibe and the food was really good. It’s just a couple of blocks north of the Danforth on a little side street and it is so Wonderful! I’ll be Enjoying some more summer nights on the lovely patio with nice lights in the trees beside the patio. Great ambience. I could see that it would be a nice spot during the day too! What a shame. I paid for a two for one meal and got less than the first time I paid full Price, the salad that came along with it was hot and soggy . . The chicken is burnt . The potatoes don’t taste good and are soaked in olive ... oil. What a let down……I will be contacting whoever was in charge because I’ve been robbed of my money … just wow. Really disappointed. Used to be our favourite Greek spot in the city. The last time we ordered the portions were small and the souvlaki was made from ground meat. Dinner was 30$ each and it was a huge disappointment.

Completely disappointed with the service. I waited 20mins to place an order and another 40 mins to get my food. A very disorganized store, seems like theres no system in place. Theres was no one cleaning up because they were very busy. And discovering after that my order was incomplete. ... It leaves one person mad. Food amount has decreased and the taste has gone somewhat mediocre. No one washed their hands and they touched cash, debit machine and the food. TLDR : The quality of food has gone down in case if you remember Tzatziki from the olden days :/ Have heard really good things about Tzatziki & have always wanted to try the same, however have heard from many of the veteran foodies who have lived in Toronto forever that ... the quality of food and the service of Tzatziki in the recent years have been really bad. We placed a dinner takeout through Uber eats ordered Pita breads (x2), Pork Souvlaki Platter with rice and roasted potato wedges on the side (x2), Chicken Souvlaki Platter with rice and roasted potato wedges on the side x1), Spanakopita (x2) and a bunch of Tzatziki dips. The Spinach in the Spanakopitas especially at the bottom had the after taste of whatever was cooked before the spinach in the pan. That yucky taste affected the quality of the entire Spanakopita in my view. The quality of souvlaki platters weren’t really great as they used to be as well.
