The food and vibes here are fantastic! This is honestly the best Greek restaurant on the Danforth! If you want real, authentic, tasty Greek food, visit Mezes! The lamb, dips and calamari are a must!! Drinks are great too and the owner is an absolute gentlemen!

We had a welcoming back-home lunch with our family member returning from Greece, so the food has to be delicious with authentic and comforting Mediterranean flair. Mezes was the perfect place to celebrate this occasion! It’s right in the heart of Greek town, with modern decor, lively, chic, ambience, and a ... welcoming atmosphere. The staff are friendly, and food came out pretty quickly! We started with Kria Poikilia (garlic pita with four dips: tzatziki, taramosalata, hummus, and melitzanosalata), which was heavenly. The tzatziki was a table favourite, and was perfectly creamy and garlicky! We genuinely could not stop eating it. The various dips all had their own unique taste, and gave our palate an interesting journey. We ordered the saganaki as well, which was a delight to watch. It was salty and tasty, and the 4-year-old at our table loved it! All of the meat we ordered, including lamb chops, chicken souvlaki, and ortikia (grilled quail) were all cooked perfectly. Juicy and flavourful! We ordered calamari as well, which was some of the best I’ve had in my life. Highly recommend. Moussaka was average, but was still yummy. Layers of eggplant, ground meat, and creamy béchamel sauce was a true delight for the palate. Our server recommended us the garides rodou, which is tiger prawns, baked in tomato sauce with feta and wine. It was rich with depth of flavour, and it was definitely a crowd pleaser at the table! Mezes is a fantastic Greek restaurant with delicious food. I loved everything I tried and can't wait to go back to try more items on the menu. Highly recommend!

Great food and obviously right in Greek Town. Very accessible and the wait was reasonable for a Saturday night. Wait staff took a bit long, perhaps due to the people. Came for the first time to celebrate my birthday with the fam after our friends suggested. We were quickly seated, no wait time, and practically immediately started getting served despite the fact that the restaurant was full and busy. The waiter serving us was super friendly and polite, constantly coming ... up to ask how we're doing and if we needed anything. Customer service of this level is really rare these days, so it feels good to compliment 😊. The food choices were great. Tasted well, but not as intense in flavor for our liking.
