We were curious about the good overall reviews - so we had to try the place out. First the positive things: I like the design and also the fact that people sit together - reminds me a lot of Oktoberfest and some German pub gems (Frankfurt etc). The wait time for food ... was pretty decent and the selection of music was nice aswell But. First when we arrived we were ‘stopped’ by a sign that said “wait to be seated” - as we did. It was two of us and overall there were 8 people waiting. After 10 minutes of standing the 4 people in front of us left and we didn’t want to wait any longer so we just went straight up to the cashier (its where you order) This is the first time that someone of the staff noticed us and asked whether we were first in line (because we didn’t wait at the door) … After a quick explanation of the menu we ordered (our favorites were sadly not available) The sausage was pretty good - but not 15CAD good … the sandwich (see photo) was interesting but full of fat - like honestly full of fat so I had to remove a lot of it to be able to eat it. No cutlery was provided and no one ever even cared about asking us whether we liked it or not (since we already paid when ordering we were not interesting enough?) I don’t know maybe it was a bad day, maybe it is the concept but we didn’t enjoy it as much as we should have according to average reviews and will probably not come back since Toronto is full of awesome food places.
