La Brasserie – Crowne Plaza - Toronto, Ontario

I slept here following a flight cancellation. It seems like the staff is really accustomed to this and it was all pretty slick. I used the shuttle service to go to the hotel and then again to return to to the airport. All as expected. Ate at the restaurant - server was ... super friendly and the service was quick. I had good service at the front desk, a clean and quiet room to sleep in, and the check out process was all slick. I don't think you need much more out of an airport hotel. Staff was nice and attentive. Parking is ridiculous. No continental breakfast, room service was non existent in our 3 day stay. Booked via Event Connect for a hockey tournament. Forced to stay at full price when other team members at Embassy and Delta were able to leave a day early ... w/out charge. Though nice I will never stay here again Read more

Bathroom was a tiny bit small and sink counter top space is only decent. Parking space sometimes was hard to get availability. Lobby is beautiful though and the front desk staff are all really nice and excellent. Room was pretty good but lacking some light making the room feel a bit dark. ... We were lucky (?) to get a room at 3am when our flight was cancelled and the shuttle wait wasn't awful. In the morning, we were unpleasantly surprised to find a moldy sandwich in a warm mini fridge. We didn't bother looking to see if it was broken, turned off ... or simply unplugged like the coffeemaker. There was a gray ring around the tub and we were hoping the stain on the chair was chocolate. Even though we got 2 beds, there were only bath towels for 1 . The front desk clerk was not unfriendly but was not helpful when these problems were mentioned. Read more

This is a hit-n-miss experience. Depends on who you get when you check in/ out for see for help. When we checked in, the lady was not polite, no welcome, smile or thank you. Seemed like she was doing us a favour by letting us stay there. On the other hand, when ... we came to see reception again for some help and extended stay, the customer service was immaculate by various staff personnel. Room was good. Great bed, clean and fit for our relaxation after long days of touristy stuff. Location is great if you want to stay close to the airport. Thanks to the team at Crown Plaza for the good experience.
