Terrible food. Ordered online, i ordered and paid for sparkling water and they gave me orange juice instead. In what world is orange juice the same as sparkling water. No refunds. Didnt pack silverware in takeout, had to buy some as this is 15 min walk. Coming back to the food. ... TERRIBLE! Airline food is a feast compared to this. The food was horrible - dried up cubes of meat, lettuce was brown, beans were runny. The service was not any better, rude, inpatient and lack of friendliness. Tacos and burritos are 2 simpler foods I find difficult to mess up on, but Taccorito did it.

After going to Tacos 101, this was such a let down. Menu looked decent, when I arrived they were out of black beans and were at the bottom of the grilled veg. There was no hot sauce available on the tables and when I asked for some, I was ... given a bag of chips and enough salsa for about 5 chips. I don't trust a place that charges me $4 for a thimble full of brown guacamole that doesn't taste like anything. The rice was hard, the chips were stale, and the "vegan patty" is clearly a grocery store veggie burger that is cut in half and placed inside the burrito. ... They can't even pretend it was made fresh or designed specifically for the company because they don't have burgers on the menu! I would have walked another block to the grocery store and bought better quality ingredients if I had known I was going to come away with such bland, lazy food. BROWN GUACAMOLE. Went there for their opening weekend and absolutely loved it. Since then, I've been three other times around the dinner rush and have been moderately disappointed. Meats that should be tender (pork "carnitas" for example) aren't - although the chicken was pretty on point. Salsas have inconsistent quality (translucent, tasteless ... tomato in the pico-style mild salsa) and heat levels (tomatillo green salsa has ranged from habanero hot to poblano level hot). Recently, many of the ingredients have been woefully under-seasoned, though as a chef myself, perhaps my salt preference is a bit high. Oh, and the tortilla chips are typically stale. All in all, not worth 13$ for a coke, large burrito and some stale chips. You can get a better burrito down the street. Sorry Tacoritto, I'll probably cave again - but it won't be for awhile... I'll grab a 5$ footlong at the Subway next to you before almost tripling my food cost. Read more
