Pizza By The Slice - Toronto, Ontario

Ordered our food at 6:10 pm, was told it would arrive in 40 minutes. Waited an hour and called back and was told it would be another 15 minutes. Called back at 7:40 and was told another 15 minutes. Called back again at 8:10 and was told another 15 minutes, I ... told him to cancel the order it would be cold anyway and I was told he was going another pizza and wings for me and it would be free. Guess what? Didn’t get anything, not even an apology so now I’m ordering from another restaurant and it’s almost 9pm. Thanks for ruining my evening and now I will be eating my dinner right before I go to bed. No customer service or a hint of regret! Will never order from here again and I will make sure all of my friends know, and tell their friends! Read more

HORRIBLE! WASTE OF A MEAL. We ordered the pizza and wings (Garlic Parmesan flavour). The pizza was nothing great, below average I would say. But the wings oh my god, worst wings I've ever had. They smelled of raw chicken, there was no taste at all neither of garlic or of ... parmesan, they looked old and stale with a weird greyish texture. The fries that came with the wings were even worse - tasted like chalk. Please avoid this place at any cost. The 1 star is justifiable only and only for the price ($15 for the combo). Clutch medium pepperoni made in 6 min (approx.) For only 5.99!!!!. This place was my go to for pizza, in the early 00's working at 855 York Mills. I loved the medium with sausage peppers and oinions - it was like plate if food moreso than a 'pie'. So these years ... later, ownership may have changed but this pizza is still inexpensive and yummy. Bottom was firm (tho I wish it had a bit more crunch). Cheese wasn't too-too greasy, just a bit too greasy, she still stringy. Bottom and crust were not no thick. Outer rim of the crust was well done and crispy-crunchy - like a slender breadstick at the finish of each slice (too bad I didn't get a dipping sauce). The pizza sauce reminded me of a plate of food from home, not like a processed or canned marinara. The pepperoni e tasty, but could've been 'pepperier' and more plentiful - but for 5.99 you can't ask for more. Ate it with my two kids, who loved it,v and explained "it's better than the place near us" (in Brampton)... I should've bought a second with sausage, peppers and onions. Next time! Read more

We received a flyer in our mailbox and couldn't help but notice that they had plenty of really good pizza and wings promos that are very reasonable. So we ordered an extra large pizza with 20 wings, a large order of french fries, 2 dipping sauces and three sodas. Wow! ... We have now found our hidden gem of a pizza place that we like. Every other brands out there are no match for By The Slice. Amidst this pandemic, we all have been encouraged to support local, well this is one local business that will be having our business for a long time. Great quality of food everyone! Love the panzerotti! They are made fresh with the ingredients of your choosing. The price of only $6 is very reasonable. The quality I think is better than Maker or blondies or any of the high end pizza places. The staff are also very nice and I have yet to ... have a bad experience.
