We were visiting Toronto and did not plan to visit this mall. However, the weather in Toronto was hotter than expected, making this mall a good place to hang out for a heated afternoon. I was surprised in a pleasant way that there were not shops that sold luxurious designer brands. ... Not that I shopped at expensive places, but I assumed that she to its prime location in downtown. I enjoyed watching the sign of one of the food halls while waiting for my friend. The words kept changing and spinning! There were also a decent selection of restaurants. I was also glad that we got some nice shoes shopping done. They basically had as many brands as you could think of. There was a recycle collection box at The North Face. Uniqlo was huge there! This place is a great tourist spot for new comers. But it is packed and super busy. Eaton centre got its name from Timothy Eaton goes really deep in 1950s history. The shops no longer sell any extremely boogie items, as they don’t cater to the products of my preference. But ... all in all still a splendid place. Read more
This mall is massive, it looked like there are some renovations on the very bottom floor. However, you can find food on the second floor. Other than that, it’s your standard mail with clothes, accessories, gifts, etc. I like the open glass on the ceiling and it is definitely one ... of the better looking malls I’ve been to. The entrance that we came in from had some interactive displays that are worth checking out especially if you have kids. We just took a Lyft here but it is a very busy area if you’re driving. Its a nice shopping mall with lots of brands, but my concern is about this red slide in the middle of the mall…..i went there with my kids, and its impossible to stop kids from a slide. Mine lined up for this slide too. However a lady came to us ... and told us to sign a waiver form, which had details about how this slide is “inherently dangerous” so i had to waive my right to complain in case my kids break a leg or arm or neck while sliding down this swirly thing. So i had to try it to see what were the chances….and that first swirl is indeed dangerous…..My question is, why did they even pick this design out of all 10007896 possible designs of a slide? I mean what kind of business strategy is it to attract kids first, then ask them to sign a waiver, and then let them slide down a dangerous slide without any fear of consequences…..attract kids all you want, but atleast make the slide safe, make me sign all the waivers you want, but at least put a little effort towards safety other than drafting that waiver form.
