I ordered kitfo and tibis and it was not tasty at all. They did not use a butter at all. The kitfo tastes like beribere (paprika) be zeit (oil) with minced meat. The tibis can not be chewed at all . I don't recommend anyone to order those two ... foods. Read more

Recently had a takeout tibs and regretted because the taste was very bland and no spice at all. Literally the worst tibs i had in Toronto but however, their kitfo and dulet is delicious to me.

Top tier service from the very friendly staff. Felt that I was treated like family from the moment I walked in. Excellent food as well, cooked fresh in front of us. Will be back!!

I was in looking for very specific spices and both people working were so kind and accommodating. They helped me pick out the right ones, even to the point of helping look up the proper ingredients as my translation to English was off. They brought out books and helped me ... out in a way that went far beyond a simple store. These folks take pride in what they do and were so nice to a person who doesn't know that much about Ethiopian cuisine. My home cooked Ethiopian has been upped a notch thanks to Desta.
