Staff did nothing when my daughter told them about the theft it was very busy she had her purse on her body and the easily got her phone and wallet out of her bag!! I came here after a concert with some friends. We were from the states and the security guard proceeded to tell me I had a fake ID when I’m well into my 30s. It was crazy because all of the holograms and security features on a government issued ID were ... showing up under the light and he was adamant it was fake. He had been letting in underage children all night but told me my ID was fake when he was just uneducated about how IDs in the U.S look. Rude employee and false advertisement. Went for a girls night out into Toronto. Bought tickets in advanced since University of Toronto’s page advertised that Fiction was having a country night on Friday night. We showed up and no country music was playing. We left to go to another bar and ... came back and still no country music. We talked to the DJ and were told in 30 minutes they would play some. Still no country music 30+ minutes later. We then went to the front to ask for a refund since we spent money on our tickets and time coming back to listen to country music. We were greeted by a rude man that refused a refund, shooed us away and told us that we were lying to his face. He was outright rude and disrespectful to us. He offered a drink to us to compensate but we have been drinking and by this time it was almost 1am and we were done drinking for the night already. Read more

i had a really good time. it was an 18+ event. all the staff are nice and the security was around the building, i felt very safe especially going places that is more secluded like the way to the bathroom. A guy tried cutting us in line but the bouncer ... said “how bout we do ladies first” loved the way he handled the situation. i didn’t run into anyone that was creepy btw. Read more

Been wanting to come here for months but some of the reviews were concerning. While I can only speak from my experience but it was an ideal example of what a nightclub should be. Got there on Saturday with a group of 3 friends around 11 and was second in ... line so got in almost immediately. Security pats everyone down for safety which is good for peace of mind. Entrance is $20 and coat check is $4, they take card / cash for both. Dancefloor is on the smaller side but it wasn't too crowded with a generally younger Latin crowd and evenish ratio of guys / girls. Drinks are around $10 each and service is efficient, got served within a minute every time I went up and bartenders always thanked for tips. Noticed security walks through the floor throughout the night, might have something to do with the phone theft trend here but no one from my group had an encounter so just be aware of your belongings. Music is predominantly Spanish but they mixed in English songs by Latin artists later on in the night. One thing is that security did get a bit antsy around 1:30 about getting back in the club if you pop outside for a smoke / some air but I did borrow a lighter from one of the guys so can't really hate on it. Be aware and responsible, for sure you'll have a good time.
