Hollandaise Diner - Toronto, Ontario

A definate local experience! But let's start with the name sake the restaurant is named for. Hollandaise! Wow! Really good. I am ashamed to say I was tempted to lick the plate this stuff was so good. Have to smuggle in a bun next ... time to get it all. 😀 Visited with a very good friend and I had the smoked bloke, which had smoked salmon and an amped up hollandaise sauce that just danced off the tongue. My food buddy had the classic and I believe he is still talking about it. Place is easy enough to find, but pick your time because it is a very small restaurant with limited seating. We lucked out and only had to wait for a few minutes. Surprised there wasn't a line considering how good the food is. Service was quick and efficient. Food came faster than anticipated, I like those kind of surprises. Would definitely go back, there are a number of different variants of eggs Benedict that look very tempting. Read more

Been there on a weekend for breakfast. Wasn’t that tough to get a table though the place was smaller than I expected. It was nice and clean and welcoming. Cozy place with delicious food! Went there in a Saturday around 11am with 2 friends and had to wait about 20min to be seated. The place is small but has a nice vibe and service is fast and friendly. Food arrived quick and delicious. The portions are good and price very fair. ... We shared the original pancakes with strawberry and chocolate chips and I can say that was one of the best pancakes that I've ever had. Amazing experience. Highly recommend!! Read more

I absolutely love this place. It’s a bit pricy but they have plenty of vegan and vegetarian options and quality is great. Place is tight so expect a line up on weekends, once we were waiting for 25 minutes outside to get seated on Saturday morning but it was so ... worth it! Read more

Great food and I say this being a very picky person. Because I’m always used to good food I find there aren’t many places in Toronto that deliver on that promise. But here...absolutely delicious breakfast and the staff are polite and nice. I give them two thumbs up.
