Love it! Wonderful little place to go if you are hankering soft-serve! There are a million flavours, sizes and combinations to choose from. The staff was friendly and kept the line moving quickly. Very nostalgic! They only ... do cash FYI, there is an ATM. Read more
Tom's Dairy Freeze is a cute, vintage, and long-standing ice cream spot. This place has been on my bucket list for a while now, and with all the recent hype surrounding it, I can say it lives up to it. Worth it if you're contemplating the try. 🥘☕️ This place serves ... so much more than just soft-serve ice cream and sundaes. They also serve funnel cakes, slush, floats, milkshakes, and ice cream sandwiches. We ordered: Twist dipped in Chocolate with Peanuts (8/10) - This combo reminded me of Drumsticks but without the artificial flavourings and higher quality - The peanut topping was an extra $1 - The dipping was $1 for medium-sized cones - I got this in medium and whoa is the sizing huge, I would say you can get a small, and depending on your appetite you'll be satisfied (total $7.55 not including tax) - ➕️ Plus point - the dipped cones didn't melt for a super long time (15-20mins) Lemon Lime Slush (7/10) - Your regular slush, but tastes good ($3.45 small) Twist dipped Butterscotch with Oreos (8/10) - It was coated in Oreo chunks instead of your regular Oreo crumbles which made a huge difference in flavour as a topping Vanilla with Sprinkles (7/10) - It tasted good, you can taste the natural milk flavour in this one Coffee Milkshake (6/10) - I got this for the coffee flavour but it didn't come through, it tasted more like a vanilla shake ($6.50 small) 🕑 Good hours and is open til 10 pm. 🌿✨️ The aesthetics of this place is cute and vintage. They maintained the 60s look which is such a refreshing thing to see nowadays. It has plenty of outside seating available. 🤍 Customer service is amazing, and everything was kept clean and tidy as well. There was a line for this place, but it wasn't much of a wait considering how fast they took our order and served us. It is a *CASH ONLY* place, and the parking is super limited so we had to park around the area. Read more
Food: Ice cream was soft, tasted milky but nothing special. Coconut shavings tasted good. Pineapple was very sugary. Size of ice cream was quite large but for 14.50$ i would expect higher quality but quantity was adequate. Environment: Line moves pretty fast. Ample seating. Only 1 window to order unlike Kawartha. Lighting is ... adequate. There is parking in the surrounding businesses which they probably don't love people using. People park in front of people’s homes…not ideal, says no parking. There is also paid parking across the street. Pricing: Cash only but they charge you tax regardless…makes no sense to skim off the top and bottom. I got charged twice for topping that was included in the the specialty ice cream according to their description so do the math before hand. I paid about 22$ for two people. I got the specialty sundae and classic cone dipped in chocolate Ultimately, I don't much reason to return. It was worth trying but it's nothing too special and not worth the long lines during the summer nights. Read more
I was just strolling down Queensway for a walk while exploring and saw a lineup here. Took a peek at the menu and looked interesting. So I decided to try it! This is a legit old school style ice cream parlor! Loved the choices and the ice creams. When I come ... back to town this will be a must stop. Read more
We got coconut, salted caramel and Dutch chocolate and soft ice cream. All were good but nothing special. I liked coconut one. Place is nostalgic and service staff are smiling. The ice cream scoops were larger than standard, but the price was also a bit high.
