I have been a long time customer with Swirls cupcake, and just recently I have had a terrible experience with them .It’s funny because I was just reading that someone else also experienced the same as me . I was always dealing with Chuck , they had great customer ... service but as their quality dropped their prices too went up . Anyhow, just coz I always had a themed party I preferred to go to them as they did great job with the designs and their red velvet was really good if made the right way . They mixed up once before with the flavour and so I was very particular and very very clear on what flavour I wanted this time . A simple requirement to have my son’s name On the Cake was so hard for them to remember ! I called to pay the deposit and confirmed with the person on the phone and also after hanging up I drafted an email and sent to them outlining what design ,flavour n most importantly to have my son’s name on the cake ! The flavour was definitely not what I wanted in-spite being so clear about that and my son’s name was not there! Almost the whole cake was left as is .It’s not that it wasn’t edible , but most of my guests had this cake before and they knew what was missing this time. I tried to contact the store several times , emailed chuck also left msgs with the ppl who answered the call . I am just upset that no one got back to me and it’s been two months . I feel angry because I was a regular customer and they just didn’t value ! I probably would have just let it go with one apology ! But now they just lost a valued customer with few more referrals !!! Worst customer service I've had in my life. I went to pick up my daughter's birthday cake. I spoke to the owner to confirm my order a week before, and he suggested to come that time, but they did not have my cake and they were not able to ... make it by the party. I ordered it 2 months ago, and looked forward to getting it, but it was TERRIBLE experience. We end up getting 1/2 scrub cake from Costco as it was no choice getting a 45 people serving cake in a short period. They forgot my order once before, but they made something from their stock (it was no requested decolation), so I thought it would be fine,if I call them to confirm my order, but it didn't work. People order a cake for their important event, so it shouldn't be happened this kind of mistake, when they runs a store. Read more

My boyfriend is allergic to all nuts so when we found this place it was absolutely incredible!!! The first time we did it for his mom's birthday the cake was pretty good, I really enjoyed the fondant and he only kind of liked it. I got it a second time ... for his birthday and then we both kind of realised it wasn't the good. There was a ridiculous amount of icing which wasn't even that good and the cake was really dry. Now if you are just going to get the cupcakes those are super delicious! And I would go back again and again for those cupcakes. Read more

AWFUL service and AWFUL TASTING cake. I went to the Etobicoke location to order a cake for my son's birthday. The person behind the counter had absolutely no interest in serving me. And I had to pull teeth to get any information - size, colour, etc. ... She couldn't even show me what it would look like (really? no pictures of your product?). I asked her to look in the back to see if there was a similar cake (there was)...and I noticed at that point I could choose a trim colour. I later went on line and saw I there was an option for a design, which was never mentioned. I emailed Swirls asking about adding the stars design. They sent me a picture of a cake with stars all over it saying that's what the cake will look like...when I got the cake there were a couple stars on top, that's it. The cake itself totally crumbled when we cut it . And it the icing honestly tasted like a stick of butter with white colouring. And for $50...NEVER AGAIN. I ordered the red velvet cake for my birthday party. Online ordering was a snap and the cake was at the Mississauga location on the date and at the time I asked for. The guests loved the cake as it was moist and not overly sweet. The ... icing was also perfect. This was my first time ordering from Swirls Cupcakes and I am very happy with what I got. Read more
