Great ice cream. It’s real. You taste the milk. Hands down anytime most recommended spots. Been coming to Ed’s since they opened. In winter always used to get their pints. The man was most enthusiastic artisan ever. Went here today, the blonde girls and a male were running the shop. One fully dedicated ... to making the cones and others taking an abnormal amount of time to get anything done. The ice cream is already made, how long do you think it would take to scoop and go? As a corporate chef, I hire people based on their social awareness and basic skills and the employees couldn’t withstand basic common things, instructions or questions. One waffle come was broken and for exactly 6 minutes she transferred the entire ice cream from one cone to another and another….. and then called her friend. Bare hands. While doing other things. They both held the come and transferred that block of semi melted ice cream into a new one. And handed it over. My friend didn’t know what to say. Just went outside and complained. It’s an ice cream shop, nobody comes here to leave a negative review. But when employees treat a workplace as their living room, it really sucks for the owners. They didn’t seem to care at all. They were physically present and mentally absent. Got an ice cream and ended up getting ice cream over Uber eats instead to having to deal with them. Everyone in the line were frustrated. It’s the third time it has happened on our visit. Not one of those days. All of the cream cones with each of us got leaked all over us, since the marshmallow was not placed deep enough and it wasn’t rolled right. They really need to hire more international diversity to counter this issue or find someone who has worked at McDonald’s. Marshmallow fluff is what fine dining pastry chef use, maybe give that a shot to resolve that. $2.50 for a waffle cone isn’t competitive and it isn’t a big deal but when it ruins your car seat and your clothes it’s bit of a problem. 5Lb flour, water and 160grams butter to make a batch does not account to the proper food cost either. If you are gonna charge $10 for icecream, it has to be backed up by better service. Like how it used to be. Everyone in the line was fuming 😤 Read more
