Reviews for Java House in Toronto, Ontario
Definitely this pub is my go to pub in this area. Atmosphere is warm and cozy and good. Also the staffs are kind. Cheap and tasty foods and drinks. Recommend their fried tofu and wings!
Wow great food , cheap drinks , and very economical - we had 2 entrees and drinks (pitcher ) only for 36 This is cash only / you can interac / they have A T M
Great spot for very cheap drinks. Came for a pitcher which was surprisingly under $20. I also noticed they had decent priced food as well. I wouldn't recommend to go for the vibes, but you get what you pay for. Would recommend and come back and try their food.
Simple and honest cuisine, good quality, totally unpretentious but satisfiying. Some of the nearby restaurants could learn from Java cafe. Singapore style noodles was authentic. Menu is quite diverse and filled with interesting items. Staff are skilled and courteous.
This cash-only spot is not a textbook definition of a 5-star restaurant, but if you go in with the right attitude you'll realize you're getting exactly what you need - decent food at a very affordable price point with quirky atmosphere and pretty decent service. Java is an institution and ... harkens back to the old cheaper Toronto before everything got bougie. Note that the food often tastes homemade without that restauranty "zing", but I think it just indicates they don't add msg. The menu is diverse so there's something on it for even your pickiest friend. Pro tip: get bacon added to the avocado & brie sandwich & make it a combo with the tomato chickpea soup. 😋 I had late night nachos this time though! Read more
