Super Hakka Restaurant - Toronto, Ontario

The food at Super Hakka Restaurant was okay, but the service was nightmare. We had a large group of 16 people, and our server seemed annoyed and rushed from the start. It made the whole ordering process quite uncomfortable. We asked for an extra bowl for our soup and had ... to remind them after waiting for 10 minutes. The real headache came when it was time to pay. I tried using my US debit card, but person at the front ran it as credit and then she claimed they don't accept credit cards. After multiple refunds and charges, they said they don't take foreign cards either. I even offered to show my ID to match with the card but it didn’t help. This led to unnecessary foreign transaction fees for me. My friend then tried paying with his Canadian card, but even that was a hassle. She ran the card but then she was like we don’t take Canadian credit cards either and we’ll take only Canadian debit card. So, she refunded again. She seemed confused and inconsistent with restaurant’s payment policies and very good at changing customers’ cards and refunding them right after. I genuinely believe that she is one of the most incompetent cashier on the face of the earth. Their service issues ruined what could have been a decent meal. Food is really good. Quality and quantity both are reasonable, My absolute favourite place for Hakka Chinese in toronto. Customer service is okay depending on the server but food is great and also hours of operation are really good with lunch and dinner special for one person if you are ... going solo. Read more

The food offered great value for its price. As a South Asian, I found even the mildly spicy dishes quite intense, suggesting that those with a lower spice tolerance might prefer to opt for less spicy options to fully enjoy their meal. Among the dishes, the egg fried rice outshone ... the vegetable fried rice in flavor and texture. The chili chicken was flavorful, but the standout was undoubtedly the beef, which I highly recommend in its spicy form. I'm a regular at this hakka restaurant and let me tell you, this place is great. I've never had an issue with anything. I usually order Bombay chicken with hakka noodles or Manchurian chicken with hakka noodles. Food takes like 10 minutes to get ready and the portions are very generous. As for ... the taste, its honestly nothing too crazy but consistent decent food. Read more

Delicious food, cozy vibe and big portions! had the chicken lollipops along with Bombay chicken dinner and chili chicken dinner…both with fried rice. 1 dinner order is more then enough for 1 person. The rice had a kick to it which was different than other hakka spots. Highly recommend!!
