Reviews for Bamboo Buddha Chinese Restaurant in Toronto, Ontario
Absolutely dismal. Ordered in person and waited almost 40 minutes for orange chicken and fried rice... Seriously? 40 minutes? The food had absolutely no flavor and the orange chicken was more like tasteless fried dough... Barely a hint of actual chicken. How can you screw up 2 iconic Chinese food ... dishes? I threw the food out after 3 bites. Read more
Terrible food don’t order from here!! Uber eats has a fake review for this at 4.9 don’t believe it !!
Oh bamboo buddah, you bamboozled your food! Honestly, this would be a 5/5 Chinese food restaurant, but there is next to no protein in any of the dishes. The chicken balls probably have less than 5g of chicken, and the rest is batter. Same goes for the fried food like general ... tso's chicken and sweet and sour pork. I would so nearly 50% of the pieces don't even have chicken/pork. The shrimp low mein has probably 10 pieces for a 2lb dish. With that said, the batter is delicious and the texture is all there. The staff were friendly too. Just put more protein in and your review ratings would sky rocket! Read more
I ordered through Uber Eats and unfortunately the general Taos chicken was the worst I have ever had; all beading no chicken and no taste. I called restaurant to advise and the receptionist alive it is expanding flour and there is chicken in the pieces. Unbelievable.
This is a great spot if you’re looking for a quick and cheap bite of Chinese food. The $9.99 meat + rice combo is great value. The “chicken and vegetables” and “meat and vegetables” are my two usual choices; they’re NOT breaded, so you just get some nice meat and veggies. ... (Note other reviews on the breaded chicken) It comes in a filled-to-the-brim takeout container with sauces and, of course, a fortune cookie. Right after you order, you can hear the veggies being chopped in the kitchen. Nice and homey, and the family that runs the joint are super friendly. Read more
