Reviews for Duff’s Famous Wings in Toronto, Ontario
Location of this place is nice, came around 8pm. We ordered the strawberry salad which was a 10/10. Also got the lemon pepper wings with the armageddon sauce on the side. Wings tasted great; only reason why I took off 1 star is because of the flavor of the hot ... sauces. I tried the hot and the armageddon. The "HOT" is not spicy at all, it tastes almost like a franks hot sauce. And the "ARMAGEDDON" sauce tasted similar as well with just a lil more heat. I just think there could be more flavor in the limited options. Otherwise it's great. Read more
Ya it’s not that they were bad, they were wings that you would get anywhere. It’s that this is what “1lbs” of wings is for 15.75 before tax and tip lmao. I would highly recommend just going to literally any pub instead, where they at least have better seating than a Burger ... King. They also “can’t” mix a dry rub with a sauce in the kitchen, but they can bring the sauce out for you do it yourself. Read more
Was told my order of 2 lbs mild-medium and 1 lbs honey garlic wings with small fries one day before the Super Bowl would be ready for pickup in 25 minutes but the best I could say about the food was that the fries were ok and sort of warm ... by they time we got home. The wings seemed a day old, dried out, and abnormally crispy like they were at least a day old given how a congealed film had formed on the sauce on the bottom of the cardboard container as that was no longer all liquid. My conclusion is that Duffs Wings sells bad leftover food and is a complete waste of money, certainly no longer famous! If you check other post reviews, I am not alone in my extreme disappointment. Extremely average experience. I heard a lot of good things about Duff's wings from a friend but the food definitely was a disappointment. The service was ok but the server seemed to be in a bad mood. The wings, although a good size were dry and had little to no ... flavour. The potato wedges and onion rings were good. The dips were a bit bland. Was expecting a lot more. Read more
As with the location on College Street, I really like the wings here as well (I got the Armageddon wings), but they’re not worth $20 (there’s extra charge for the Armageddon flavor). I’m taking a star off for that. If the wings were reasonably priced, I’d give it 5 stars. ... Additionally, I got the poutine and deep fried pickles, and both are really good. Apart from the food, the service was really good. The servers were really nice and attentive. The women’s restroom is also clean. Read more
