I ordered a large oxtail which was delicious, however the portion size was small for the price point compared to other places. 17.99+ for a large oxtail that wasn’t even that full in the container, lots of empty space that could have been filled with more rice at the ... very least. I used to eat at another ritz location a few years ago and the portions were generous and filling. I’ve had the lunch specials which are a good deal at $4.99 but probably won’t have oxtail again. Go to Roywoods at union if you want an oxtail that is worth the cost. Read more
Not the best Caribbean food but really the only place near the area. Since its located close to Eaton's Center it a better option than the food court there. Portions are decent but priced a little on the high side. Avoid the dry chicken and stick to the stewed/sauce selections. ... Don't even bother with getting a patty here. Horrible. Read more
I dunno how man's be complaining about a $5.99 lunch special in the downtown core. When you got a fixing for Carribean food on the cheap at lunch, this is the spot in the area. They were sold out of their Jerk when I got there so they just be ... doing something right. The BBQ chicken was aight, the oxtail gravy was bomb on the rice and peas. I'll be back for sure. Rice and beans are typical, jerk chicken was spicy and had excellent flavour. They had run out of coleslaw, so opted for plantains instead, but didn't get very many :( overall, great food and good portions for the price.
If you’re looking to fill up, this is the place. I had the chicken roti with peppersauce on the side and couldn’t have been more satisfied. It’s made well. The staff is cool. And they play good reggae that makes you sway while you chow down.
