I've been coming here for almost 10 years. Such comfort food. I love the roti and doubles. Palohrie, kurma and sour sop ice cream when I realllyy wanna treat myself!
I'm very happy with my dinner. I had a chick pea doubles and boneless chicken with paratha . Curry was flavourful and the sauce was perfectly rendered. Potatoes were intact not overcooked. The buss up shot is a fluffy bread that isn't fried like doubles and doesn't have chickpeas inside ... the layer like Dahl Puri. You can break up and dip in the curry. "Bus up shirt," literally. Ali's has been a Parkdale landmark for as long as I can remember. You can't miss the sign! It's uncomplicated and straight-forward, down home cooking. The curries are mild but you can ask for extra spice. I recommend the rotis!
