The room was ok (a few non-working power outlets aside) and the hotel and staff were very pleasant. The location is great, very close to the heart of the city. The hotel is in a convenient location within walking distance to bars/restaurants/shopping. Staff was very friendly Parking is an additional fee of $45CAD and it’s underground. Everything was great! The room was clean and fresh. Bathroom well provisioned and spotless. Breakfast was not included but offered $$ for the price it is a good buffet. Location, location, location! I stayed at the Doubletree Toronto last week from May 29- June 3. I have a physical handicap that makes it impossible for me to walk without the help of a walker or electric scooter. I just Everyone on the staff from the front desk, bellman, security and ... restaurant acted with the utmost kindness and professionalism. I needed help with the scooter and the walker; I fell and security had to pick me up off the floor a couple of times. The people at the desk were great with my luggage and charging my scooter. The restaurant staff needed to make minor accommodations. Everyone was mindful of my dignity and helped me cheerfully, without recompense. This is clearly the mark of good management, good training, and good hearts. This hotel has a staff that goes above and beyond! Read more

I’m currently visiting for a business trip. I’m still sitting in the lobby because I’ve been to two different rooms where the pillows have not been cleaned. I’m beyond frustrated at this point because I traveled internationally and the manager has no sense of urgency to address the issue. I’ve ... been bouncing from room to room and waiting in the lobby for an hour now while watching other guests check in with no issues. It’s unfortunate that I have to reside here for five days because if it was a personal trip, I would cancel my reservation and find another hotel. UPDATE: I checked out on Friday morning and I was so happy to leave!!! After changing rooms three times due to the cleanliness of each room, I had to deal with the shower in my third room not draining properly two separate nights. I also had to ask for my room to be cleaned multiple times (i.e. on day two, day three, and day four) after seeing it was not cleaned every other day as indicated and was not cleaned until day four of my stay. The elevator lobby of the parking garage has a horrible aroma and the parking garage itself is not the best. Very weird parking situation and tight turnarounds to get out. Whenever we comeback for our next business trip, I will definitely be advising against staying here because this was one of my worst accommodation experiences out of all my years of traveling. Great location though!! Walkable to so many restaurants, shops, boutiques, and markets. That’s the only thing this hotel has going for it. Read more
