Good food at a great price. Had the pork belly over rice and black pepper beef and chicken both delicious and both came with soup and a drink all for $27 tax in a great value.

Everything I tried today was DELICIOUS, and I can’t believe the prices as they do not skimp on the ingredients. The service was fast and friendly, not to mention that it feels great to support a small family owned business in the heart of Scarborough. I promised I'd write an honest review so here it is. Great Fountain Fast Food is true to its name, it really is fast. Typically wait about 5-10 minutes to get your meal that's made to order. I visited twice in order to get a larger scope of the menu. Here's what I ... ordered and my rating on each dish: Pork belly on rice - 4.1/5 Garlic fried chicken leg on fried rice - 4.2/5 Cantonese Chow Mein - 2.9/5 Sweet and sour pork on fried rice - 3.2/5 Shanghai noodle - 3.1/5 Honey garlic Pork chop - 2.6/5 Milk Tea 4.7/5 Lemon Tea - 4.6/5 Because of their vast menu, there will definitely be something for everyone. Do not expect restaurant quality as this is a food court pounding out dozens of dishes per hour. However, food is very fresh and taste great. It is incredibly inexpensive. On average, a combo is 12-13$ with a drink. Great value for money The milk tea and lemon tea is a must try. The milk tea is on my top 3 hk milk tea in the GTA. Sweet and strong without being too astringent (dry mouth feel). The lemon tea reminds me of a much better version of Nestea. I do recommend getting better straws, it would make the drinking experience better. Staff is very friendly. Hard working family business. They even started social media to keep up with the times. I finally made it here! The infamous Great Fountain 🙌 I got the garlic fried chicken on a bed of rice with gravy, and the braised pork belly on rice with pickled veggies. Portions were big! I definitely waited too long to visit! The chicken is to die for. Super crispy, ... juicy and tender. Seasoned to perfection and I wanted every single bite to be never ending. 🤤 The braised pork belly was cooked perfectly and was absolutely delectable. Prices were super reasonable. The HK lemon tea was superb!! The soup was also uber tasty. 😋 The line moved quickly and I received my order in a timely fashion. It's good. I can definitely imagine a time where a meal here was less than $10, but gone are those days. Due to social media this place always has a line and I definitely got a chance to try it. We ordered the beef tendon noodle soup and a salt ... and pepper spiced squid and pork dish. Both were over $10 but I think slightly under $15. They take debit and cash. The meal was good but the portion is not really big for the price. I would either expect a meal from a place like this to be a bigger portion or a cheaper price. The taste was good but typical of a Chinese take-out shop. This is definitely a decent option in the area but nothing you can't find somewhere else in Scarborough. Read more
