Swiss Chalet was my mother’s favorite restaurant. Vancouver where I am from, unfortunately there are no more Swiss chalets. In Toronto visiting The Beaches area with my GF and here we are. If I could rate this restaurant more than five stars I definitely would! Sadly, we now live in a place where there is no Swiss Chalet. My husband, knowing my great love of Swiss Chalet, planned a surprise 60th birthday party for me when we were visiting Toronto at this ... place. He had worked together with the owner, Anisur Salim, in secret without me having a clue. When I arrived, everything was so well organized, the restaurant had beautiful balloons for me and even donated a birthday cake! There were about 40 of us there that evening and the owner made sure everything went off so smoothly and the food was delicious! He was very attentive and was happy to have been working with my husband on this surprise. Thank you so, so much for all of your hard work to create such a beautiful evening for me! Gazi was a wonderful server! It was my first time going to Swiss Chalet and he made sure that it’d be memorable. I had the quarter chicken dinner. Chicken was tender and fries were crispy.
