Smokes is a Poutine chain, so you know it's not going to be *incredible* and *jaw dropping* but they still make a pretty good Poutine, and for some good prices. Nice squeaky cheese curds, tasty gravy, and good fries. Fries could be crunchier, gravy could be thicker and tastier, but you'll ... get a reliable standard Poutine here. Good but not great. To make a truly great poutine you must layer the cheese curds throughout the dish not just lump them all on top. Since all of the cheese ends up on top, they don’t melt so although the gravy and fries were good, I’ve had better poutine ... at Hero Burger. Read more

Just got home after a night out to find that my Wow size pulled pork poutine has NO PULLED PORK. Just fries and cheese! Called in to see if they could credit the card or give me a voucher, but they said I'd have to go back with the food. ... Unfortunately I Ubered to get the food and I'm not paying for another trip. Had the hogtown poutine and it was tasty. They accidentally put on pulled pork but that's OK! Pretty much a bonus for me! I would probably go back to getting the triple pork next time. Fries were not as good as my other experiences there.
