I've been here twice. The first time, with a friend who is neighbours of the owners. We went for brunch. I didn't see bacon and eggs as an option (although it must have been because my friend ended up ordering it) so I had a BLT. ... BEST BACON EVER! My friend said they also make a great burger. Hubby and I were in a pinch tonight for dinner. We'd had burgers at lunch but figured we can get a gorgeous club sandwich or BLT at M&J and enjoy their homemade bacon. No dice. We were told that we could add bacon to any of their options but who wants bacon on a pulled pork, roast beef or corned beef sandwich? There was grilled cheese on the menu, to which we could have added bacon, but it was only available for 12 year olds and under. We walked out and went to another restaurant. It's great that they want to change up the menu and keep it fresh, but if you can't get a BLT or a club sandwich at a deli - particularly one that boasts great, house smoked bacon - then it's a real let down :-( We probably won't go back unless we have time for breakfast and know we can get bacon. Food was fantastic and reeally fresh, all the way down to the home made bun. The cheese burger is highly recommend
Visiting the Scarborough Bluffs and found this charming little place on the app Zomato (formally urbanspoon). It hit the spot for lunch! We both chowed down on the burgers! The quality is amazing. Delicious food, great service and attention to detail make M&J's my favourite place to eat in the neighbourhood. I've eaten everything on the menu and loved all of it. They bake their own bread, make their own mayonnaise and peanut butter, and the lemon aioli is amazing. My only concern with ... them is that they'll become too popular and move to a new neighbourhood. Eat there, you won't be disappointed. Read more
