Final update:. Yes, permanently closed. Terrible management, sad food and non returning customers who have better choices within walking distance finally had their toll on this business that was run as if a child was in charge. Aside from the wonderful Wait Staff and good coffee, I do not understand ... how this place stays in business. Frozen turkey puck in the Club sandwich, tasteless bacon, brown lettuce, frozen veggies and on and on. To be fair I've been several times trying various meals. A place for travellers staying at the hotels who don't know better. Update Jan 2018: The multi year banner advertising "Under New Management" is finally gone. The Wait Staff are the usual pleasant, attentive selves and for a full breakfast try the Country Corner for $14.99...pictures below. Although they still serve the frozen from the bag, deep fried taters that are also well known at Fran's a block away. Sad given I can go to several local Diners and get a full breakfast for 7 bucks that will include fresh roasted potatoes AND a coffee. I did add one star given whoever was in the kitchen made amazing scrambled eggs (creamy/fluffy) and the overall experience would make one want to come back. But $2.49 for a cup of coffee is reaching. Still, better than Cora's next door who charge 4 dollars for a cup of tea. The Chopped Steak 'n eggs fails and needs serious attention. The mass produced cooked from frozen patty lacks in texture and taste. An actual hamburger patty would be better. Sad as the presentation was good. Choice of waffles or French toast included. Update Sept 2016: $15.23 for bacon & eggs with coffee. Again, super pleasant & attentive Staff but for that price I expect fresh potatoes with onions for my "roasted potatoes" done in a pan and not the frozen from the bag and deep fried morsels they provide. Is "Under New Management" their logo? That sign has been posted for over 5 years! Read more
