Copetin Restaurant and Bar - Toronto, Ontario

Nice interior. Food was a bit bland- I thought it would have more flavour/spice. Better off with the bar selection, tapas style. $65 for steak- yikes

Copetin is Claudio Aprile’s new baby and it is a beauty. The decor, well the art is super fun and seating is well spaced. Our waiter was excellent and very informative. I loved that there were a few favourites from Origin but also many great new dishes. I am not a ... rice lover and fell madly in love with the gorgeous Duck Confit Bibimbap. It had a ton of components and yes, it is a rice dish but there was a great balance. Claudio is a beef master and his beet salad was one I can’t wait to eat again. Great food, staff was fun and relaxed. Nice mellow atmosphere. It was my first fine dining experience and I would go back if needed.

Beautiful atmosphere, however I was expecting more about food. Our dishes took a little bit longer than usual to come. The presentation of the food was very beautiful but the flavours wasn't so good as I imagined...

Everything tasted like the food from a food truck. I guess the chief is trying to make street food fancy. There are so many great new restaurants opening in downtown Toronto. Without any change in their menu I will likely go elsewhere for dinner.
