We went there for a date night on a weekday. The place was almost empty. There was live music - a woman playing piano and singing jazz music. It made the evening very special and unique. Great atmosphere the moment we walked in the door. Extremely talents jazz band, great 30 year old wooden bar, great beer and the most amazing jambalaya that I’ve had in a long time. Great staff and just come here already 🤗

The location is ideal, and has so many ways to enjoy it, either quite close to the street, on the patio right beside the restaurant, or inside surrounded by amazing pictures (and in the evenings, by an amazing house band) :and all of these areas offer a great experience! I came here on the recommendation of a dear friend and was pleasantly welcomed by the staff. The boys ran the food dressed in black shirts and fedoras. The music was on point, small jazz trio that played at a very pleasant volume. The food was delicious. In fact I ... heard patron say “I’m from New Orleans and this was very authentic”. So all in all, I enjoyed a very pleasant night. The place was decked out with images of “jazz greats” creating a cosy atmosphere in this tiny and narrow restaurant. The atmosphere was perfect, the jazz band was ok... the service was good .. however the food was not good at all (except for the blackened shrimp and coconut shrimp). The rest of the food was bland. Absolutely no flavor, no spice, no seasoning. Whomever the chef is, they ... need a new one. preferably one that has been to New Orleans and trained along side some of worlds greatest chefs.
