One of the best hidden gems of the city. The Village by the Grange has been a go to for me for the past 4 decades from my art school days, living and working in the area. It is timeless and magical and no other place reflects the incredibly varied ... and international food culture of the city like the Grange does. Although the city is ever changing, this food court has been a timeless oasis of equal parts small mom and pop restaurants sharing space with some more recent additions of food chains. Hidden gem for sure. This is where a lot of the OCAD students grab food, so there are a ton of cheap eats. I recently went to the Filipino food stall and it did not disappoint. Such a huge portion of adobo and rice for only $7! So nice to ... just grab some food and have a little picnic at Grange Park. Read more
good food options, but why is the washroom always dirty and leaking water. The washrooms have no lock in the stalls, and the lights are broken, so it's poorly lit... It's straight out of a horror movie.
New Donair spot close to the McDonalds was a bit pricey for the size of the wrap I got. Very small portion and too salty for my liking. Food is fresh though. Not sure how much traffic they get on a daily basis. I might give them a 2nd chance ... and get their meals. The staff is pretty nice there. Read more
