TOT the Cat Cafe - Toronto, Ontario

I absolutely love cats, so I wanted to visit the cafe. The drinks are overpriced, but they are pretty good. I understand the 5 dollar fee per person to go into the cat room is for a good cause, but given the wait time and the short amount of time ... you actually get with the cats, I think it should be a bit lower. While I was there, about 20 people came and went. It would also be great if they updated their website more with better pictures of the adoptions that occur. I loved Storm, he was absolutely adorable - though admittedly mean to most people - but I never actually found out if he had been adopted after I left. I think if they updated their site more often, they might be even busier than they are now, though the experience is a bit underwhelming. And don't be surprised by the smell. 15+ cats have an odour, but it's no worse than that of 15+ people. It's normal, so that honestly should not even be an issue with people. Read more

The man who runs the place is very sweet, good with kids. The idea of the place is nice. Money goes to help the cats find a home. Only problem is it's not much of a cafe (food and drinks are sub par) and it's a bit stuffy and uninspired ... décor-wise. Read more

Half of the cats here are not friendly, don't like being touched. Be careful, they may try to scratch you or bite you if they think themselves are 'offended'. And they look overall skinny. Basically the rule here is you pay a mandatory 'donation' fee and an order and then ... get to hangout with the cats for abt 10 min. Read more

This cafe is the best place to pet cute cats and have a fun time. You have to either buy $5 worth of food and drinks, or make a $10 donation. The donation comes with some cat treats that will have all the cats crowding your lap in no time. ... The cats are all up for adoption, so they tend to change every time you go. While the drinks aren't great, I don't think anyone goes to a cat cafe expecting world class lattes. All in all a good experience. Highly recommend! Read more

I have been to around 5 cat cafe now and this is unfortunately one of the worst. the place for kitties is too tiny compared to the outer space. the admission is odd..purchase $5 drink or $10 donation but you know you will end up paying more than $5 anyway. ... The place needs lots of maintenance to keep it clean. I think they should have a time slot so that people can book online, admission should be straight forward (eg: $10/ hour) and cleanliness is the key. The place should really be kept clean like having water bottle or put the litter box in a hidden place. This place is located in downtown core which has so many benefits to improve business but the owner surely doesn't know how to run it properly. Read more
