Cozy quiet cafe with lots of history on college street. Large seating area with good service. Their cannoli was freshly made for each order and delish…!!

I've been coming here since I was young. The food is good, and so is the coffee, I got a Caramel Latte. The service was also good and the person was very sweet. Two things I think that would improve this place is: - More up to date decor, like I am not ... saying Sicilian needs to spend major money but something that will give it a more cozy feel to the atmophere. - When I came here in the summer, I saw the main door was a problem for the servers. It was kept closed for the AC and there was no other way to open the door then by pushing it open. So you had servers with HOT coffee opening the door to bring it out to the patio and having the door slam back on them. Spilling the coffee on themselves. Which isn't okay. The servers are the backbone to a restaurant and taking care of them is important. So I think that is something major that should be taken care of somehow. Waitress explained kindly that they do not allow outside food (our plan was to pick up dessert solely from there, so we had other food), but allowed us to order to-go. They were very kind about it. Since 1959 peeps! Now that is a long time in any business but in the food industry it’s unheard of. Maybe this is why you stay with time honoured, by hand recipes. No gelato mixes here! Classic granitas, great sandwiches, but always always come for the lemon and chocolate gelato. ... There is nothing finer.
