Odin - Toronto, Ontario

2020.08.27. The morning walk was to the east side of downtown Toronto. The cafe visit was to "Odin Coffee Roasters". Coffee is nice. Sat outside. Big place and nicely decorated. Pleasant Barrista. Location is on King Street East.

I visited this coffee shop for the second time today. I love the decor and aesthetic! It's so simplistic and cute. I chose to have a dirty chai latte and the sea salt chocolate chip cookie. Odin is a cute, little cafe with great espresso-based drinks, teas, smoothies, and pastries and breakfast burritos (yum!). There isn't a ton of seating, but people don't seem to mind sharing tables and there's a coat rack in winter to hang your long coat. And definitely get a breakfast burrito! A bright space with large windows and soaring ceilings. The place is rather noisy and echo-y and somewhat sterile. It's also quite expensive. A smoothie bowl and chai latte was $20.

Hit up this place through the Ritual app, only to find some things sold out. Okay, sure. I arrive for my modified order and discover half the pastries are gone too. It's 3 hours after opening for the day midweek, so I'm rather surprised. That said, what I did get was ... quite good and the atmosphere is fantastic, bright and open. The pop up fruit market was interesting as well. I'll come back, but I don't think I'll go out of my way unless I'm arriving first thing in the morning. Read more
