Stopped in here today looking for a treat to take when visiting family. The lady working inside named Chloe was so kind when responding to all my questions about flavors and ingredients. She let me know about all the different options they had available so I could make the ... perfect choice. My family loved everything I brought. I will definitely stop by again. Hopefully the same lady is working and has more good recommendations Read more
I purchased some packaged holiday jellies on Christmas Eve, yesterday, as I had tried them a few weeks earlier. They were so incredibly stale I could have broken glass windows with them. For the price I paid, to have to throw them out, it is unbelievably unacceptable. It is not ... the standard you expect from this patisserie. Unfortunately this is not my first time receiving stale treats from the Annex location. Read more
I picked up desserts for a get-together, and they were really good! I bought a large pecan pie cake, a summer cabin, a Pina colada, and a Pur Noir. My husband said that they were all delicious. He said the Pur Noir wasn't too sweet, it had a great punch ... of dark chocolate, and it was filled with a creamy and decadent dark chocolate mousse and a thin layer of sponge cake. The Pina Colada dessert was also really good and super creamy and also not too sweet. He said it was beautiful and so creamy and lightly flavored of pina colada. He was not impressed with the summer cabin cake as he said it was nothing special, it just looked very nice. He enjoyed the pecan pie cake but said the pecan layer was a little dry but tasty. He said the crust was a little thick and dry but said the Italian butter cream the cake was topped with was incredible. I was served by Moe, who was a delight. She was knowledgeable about the products, and she asked if anyone had allergies, amazing! She was super friendly and professional. Such a delightful young lady who obviously loves working there. IMO, she's a keeper who deserves a raise! I'll definitely be back! (Below is a picture of the pecan pie cake) I went back to get some desserts for some guests who were visiting. The fig topped dessert was the best. It was not overly sweet and filled with a fig compote. The lemon cheesecake had a really nice tartness to it and was perfectly creamy. The chocolate nut crunch dessert bar was the least favorite as it was dry and not very flavourful. The Pina Colada cup was exceptionally creamy and filled with a pineapple compote at the bottom. The pineapple dessert was tasty and tart and had a nice crust. You can't go wrong with almost all of their desserts. Read more
Perfect pastries and service with an outstanding packaging service. if you want a special gift or treat for yourself this is the place in Toronto to go to. The staff are well informed of the origins of the goods and are able to help with the details of any order ... as they have good product knowledge. They also stock savoury snacks that are as high quality as their sweet goods. A must try even to just enjoy the shop itself. Read more
