Thoroughly enjoyed the Sunday special: Malaysian Curry Lamb. Comes with soup or salad plus dessert. Generous portions are a deal for $20. Others at my table enjoyed the lamb shank and smoked salmon pasta. Again all very generous portions. Tempting bakery counter at the front of the restaurant!
Went for afternoon tea and cake, didn't know what to expect, all I knew was that this place has been there forever but I've never ever been in.... It was just us sitting down and lots of people went in to pick up cakes for a Saturday night. I noticed ... lots of regulars and also newbies like us. Ordered the strawberry shortcake and it hit the spot. The hk milk tea was great too. They have a coffee machine so also got an Americano but don't think will order that again. Read more
A Hong Kong styled western restaurant that has been a staple of North York. Most patrons come here for the consistent quality and cake dessert options. They serve pastas, Thai curries with rice, steaks/prime rib, pork shop and fish options. You can upgrade to Full Course Meal for $10 where you ... get a house salad, soup, coffee/tea and dessert of your choice. Main dish portions are generous and you can taste the fresh ingredients. I liked their side mashed potatoes as it's not too buttery. The Braised Short Ribs, Braised Ox Tail, Orange Roughy with Cream Sauce were all very good. For desserts, they are famous for their meringues. Whipped cream is soft and the meringue torte is crispy. Their tiramisu is made with a cake base instead of lady fingers. Servers are courteous and efficient. Decor was OK, nothing spectacular. Read more
My friend took me here for my birthday lunch as per my suggestion. We ordered the set lunch which included a soup or salad, main dish and dessert with coffee or tea. We both had the minestrone soup, and followed with the pork chop on fried rice and the ... Malaysian Curry Beef brisket with rice. The food was all delicious. I asked the male server if we could share one slice of the Meringue cake instead of having the 2 desserts that came with our set lunch. He responded no and that the Meringue slice would be $7.00. I said that was fine and we would take our 2 desserts to go. He then told us it would be $0.35 for the desserts as takeout? When I got home I noticed there was only 1 dessert/eclair instead of the 2 that should have been included with the set lunch. Not impressed with the service. Read more

Very comfortable and quiet place. Service was very good. However, I think the food was a bit overpriced. Having said that, their desserts (different kinds of cakes) were pretty good.
