It’s unfortunate that a new young man has been hired whom needs some training on the service of customers. I came in and waited 4 minutes at the the till to place an order and was ignored. I decided to use the ladies room in the meantime in case the ... young man was busy doing admin work. When I came back he was at the till doing something behind the counter and paid attention to turning g on the stereo and texting on his phone behind the counter. He greeted me with his eyes down and never looked up. I waited another 3 minutes until I asked him if we was busy or….? He then put his phone down and took my order. I then repeated my order 4 times as he still was distracted and don’t bother to provide eye contact. Not a good way to start the day! Shop has gone down a lot in the past few months. Prices are high and the portions are much smaller. I commented on how much smaller the scone has gotten only for a reply if 'ya think?'. $8+ for a medium regular coffee and a tiny scone. This place used ... to be amazing but now they seem to change staff weekly and the sizes keep shrinking. Read more

Really good place for coffee that’s roasted in house and also available for sale to home brew. Baked goods are delicious as well. Highly recommended. Staff are friendly.

I recently visited Fair Grounds Organic Café & Roastery to try their coffee and was thoroughly impressed. The cafe features an interior with extensive use of wood, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The large glass windows allow plenty of sunshine to flood the space, and the high ceilings make ... it feel spacious and open. The server was incredibly friendly and helpful, recommending a cold brew coffee, which was already prepared and ready to enjoy. The coffee tasted good. The washroom is located downstairs and requires a key for access. While it had a slight old-building smell, it was overall serviceable and clean. One minor inconvenience was the use of paper straws, which quickly became soggy and broke, especially where they contacted the X-shaped opening in the plastic lid. This design flaw made the straw lose its shape and integrity, requiring me to get a second one to finish my drink. Despite this small issue, this cafe is a fantastic place to hang out, relax, and enjoy good coffee. The friendly staff and pleasant atmosphere make it a spot I would gladly return to. Read more

Came here with my friend for lunch, and it was a lovely outing! I had their egg salad sandwich and iced mocha and both were really delicious! The mocha was less chocolatey than I had anticipated, but the quality of the espresso still more than made up for that, and ... the interior feels so classic and rustic.
