Country Style - Toronto, Ontario

I am not usually the type to write reviews, but this is just beyond my comprehension. I usually LOVE Country Style and make sure I buy something whenever I see one but I have never had this type of service at any of the ones I've visited. To start off, I walk ... in and the clerk is nowhere to be found, then when I'm finally ready for my order she has no personable or customer service skills, I ordered a BLT, and she was about to give me back bacon because "we don't have regular bacon" to which I said I don't like that kind, do you have turkey?... To which she said yes and place literally one slice, when I asked for more turkey she said you have to pay extra 😱. She charged me full price for a BLT and she gave me what you see on the picture. I ordered two breakfast sandwiches. The "western" was just a sad egg disk with ham. No onions or peppers. She also tried to upcharge for bagels even though we specifically ordered English muffins. We were the only customers in the store at the time. The lady behind the counter was very ... rude in general. The sidewalk in front of the store is also the only sidewalk still covered in snow. I always happy to find a country style location. I visit this one regularly when I'm in the area. The restaurant is clean and usually only one person working which seems a bit dangerous to me and usually means a bit of a wait if there's more than a couple of ... customers. That said they are friendly and the great thing about county style is the size of their donuts and muffins etc. It reminds me of the way Tim Hortons USED to be. Prices are reasonable and I've always been happy with their lunch options although I didn't order any on this visit. Went for a breakfast sandwich. It wasnt great. Not much selection for bagels which didn't matter because I was never ask which bagel I wanted. The coffee was weak and tasted watered down.

Country style has different standards, very bad experience and overall cheap location. I called to place an order for bagels from across the street so they will have it ready when I come by, they wouldn’t make it, 10 bagels, until they get paid in full.... I wanted to come and ... have everything ready when I come by. This is 09:00am and it’s their donughts selection, in pictures, rather empty and likely not fresh. Only 1 person at the counter, the owner serving several customers. There is no peanut butter. Look at how disgusting the knives are. Sorry, but this is beyond a horrible place.
