Caffe Demetre - Toronto, Ontario

Before visiting here, I had only ordered delivery through Uber Eats a few times, so I was surprised to find it was a full-service restaurant upon arrival. The restaurant was larger than I expected, with many employees, and most of the hosts and staff were reasonably friendly. As I knew, the ... menu was extensive with many items I wanted to try, so I ordered a variety of dishes. However, I felt that most of them tasted quite similar. As expected, they were very sweet, and the portions were quite large, though considering the price, maybe not overly so. The waffle cone was incredibly delicious, and the ice cream was not bad, about average. Unfortunately, the fruits, especially the strawberries, were not very fresh. When you come to a dessert specialty shop and pay this price, you expect a certain level of quality, but the strawberries were so mushy that I didn't eat more than one bite. If I had to pick the best part, it would be the speed of service. The banana split was served in about 3minutes, and most of the other desserts came out within 10 minutes. The most disappointing part was that the dessert plates and cups were all served hot, as if they had just come out of the dishwasher, which resulted in my ice cream being half melted by the time it was served. I love this location, food , all the waitresses and managers. They are great. My concern is the amount of dust on the vents, lamps and ceiling. It never been cleaned since the place opened. All this is located above kitchen where they cook and serve. All this dust goes ... directly into our plates. Sad. Read more

My family and I came here for dessert after eating lunch. We came here on a holiday (Victoria Day) so they weren't too busy. Their decor and seating are very spacious. They also have a lot of parking, so no issue there. We ordered smaller desserts since we had a fairly ... big lunch. As for our order, we had single scoops of white chocolate silk and chocolate cashmere, along with an iced cappuccino with oat milk. Overall, very delicious, though their servings are big. Keep that in mind if you want to come here for dessert. You may have to share one dessert for two or even three people. An issue I have lies with the booth seating. Upon closer look, the cushion backing had spots of stains and dirt, and some of the buttons were even missing. Also, the carpet looked like it needed a deep clean. While spacious on the inside, it does need a bit of cleaning up or reupholstering. Overall, it is a nice spot to go for air conditioning and sweet desserts to cool you down on a hot, summer day. The atmosphere is awesome, really beautiful place. I liked food but I think is too much, I mean sizes are bigger. They should have some options for people don't like too eat bigger potion. Btw I like it

one of my favorite places to drink coffee. I love the place, the decoration and the atmosphere in this branch. With many tables available. The service was fast and in less than 10/15 minutes we had our order on the table. Everything was very delicious and the crepe💯 I love ice ... cream and of course coffee.
